Mike Markes, P.E.

Mike Markes is a reservoir engineer with over 25 years experience evaluating oil and gas assets.  He specializes in enhancing producing properties through development drilling, waterflooding and CO2 flooding.  Mike has a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University.  Mike began his career with Exxon in Midland, Texas and has spent the past 19 years with Merit Energy in Dallas, Texas where he served as V.P. Corporate Exploitation prior to co-founding Obsidian Energy Company, LLC.

Greg McFarland, C.P.G.

Greg McFarland is a petroleum geologist with 25 years of experience in the oil and gas business.  He has worked most U.S. onshore basins as well as GOM, Canada and Mexico.  He is experienced in all aspects of exploration and reserve development, as well as, in 3D seismic interpretation and horizontal drilling technology.  Greg has B.S. and M.S. degrees from Baylor University.  Greg has worked with Sun E&P, Oryx, NSAI, and has been an integral part of several successful start-ups. Greg lives in Dallas, Texas.
